Probably the most predictable book you will ever read. The only saving grace is a bunch of unintentionally wacky hi-jinks enacted by the likes of favorite magic storyline characters such as Eladmari, Liin Sivi, Crovax, Ertai and Greven-il Vec. All in all, there is plenty of lessons to be learned in this novel. Find out what it takes to seduce a Phyrexian robot. Find out how to make Flowstone serve you in your daily life. Find out how to use little drawings at the beginning of each chapter so that the only big surprise of the entire novel is spoiled. Ah, if you played with the cards you probably know most of what happens anyway. The prologue is over-written in hillarious fashion. I think he created like six words to write it. I have to read the next novel, I'm easily drawn into camp. Read it, Ertai gets laid!

This is one of the best books of magic the gathering. If you want to know what happens after Rath and Storm read this.

This book is great! If you wanted to know what happened to Ertai after he was stranded in Rath, this book is your answer. For all those who own or have used a Nemises deck, you will be able to find how Crovax became the new Envicar of Rath.

Simply put, this book is awesome. If you'd like to know what was happening in Rath while Gerrard and the others are in Mercadia, read this book.I recommend this book to anyone, even if you don't play Magic.
