Harold Evensky CFP, is President of Evensky & Katz, anationally recognized wealth management firm. Acknowledged byFinancial Planning, Financial Planning Professional, InvestmentNews, and Worth as an industry leader, he served aschair of the TIAA-CREF Institute Advisory Board and is a member ofthe American Bar Association. In 1999, he was awarded the Dow JonesInvestment Advisor Portfolio Management Award for LifetimeAchievement.

Stephen M. Horan, PhD, CFA, manages professionaleducation and private wealth management content for CFA Institutemembers. He has served as both an editorial board member andabstractor for the CFA Digest and as an ad-hoc reviewer for theFinancial Analysts Journal. He holds a PhD in finance,publishes frequently in academic and professional journals, and hasauthored several books. Prior to joining the CFA Institute, he wasa professor of finance at St. Bonaventure University and principalof Alesco Advisors LLC.
