No Dress Required by Cari Quinn

After years of ho-hum dating, Noelle Gregory is tired of fooling around. There’s only ever been one guy for her—Jake Conroy, her best friend’s older brother. Now that Jake’s back in town, she’s headed to his sister’s New Year’s Eve party to make her move. Purse full of condoms? Check. Sparkly dress guaranteed to show Jake the sexy woman she’s become? Check. Carjacker that makes off with both two hours before the party? Check. When Jake finds Noelle stranded on the side of the road—looking sexier than ever in her striped socks and silly holiday shirt, damn it—he’s glad for the snowstorm that cancels his sister’s party. His and Noelle’s friendship has tormented him for years, and now, Jake wonders if he should dare to sample what he’s always wanted…and if he’ll be able to walk away when it’s over.

    Funny, sexy, and romantic

This is my first experience with Cari Quinn's writing, but it won't be my last. "No Dress Required" starts out funny and a bit snarky, turns sexy in a hurry, and ends up being sweet and romantic. There's never much doubt that Nellie will get her man in the end, but it's still fun to watch it happen. The writing's flawless, the characters are real and endearing, and the sex is hot. What more could you ask for?

Cute and fuzzy bunnies deserve a happily ever after too...

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

The friends to lovers trope is always good for me. And this one adds in friend's brother! BONUS. This was a quick romp through past mistakes, present mishaps, and the oh so beautiful possibilities of the future.

Nellie and Jake have been circling each other for ages, both too afraid to face the idea of getting together. Jake's a little shaky thanks to a surprise break up with his longtime girlfriend a few months before and Nellie is fed up with waiting for her shot with the man she's loved longer than she can remember. Add in a car-jacking, fuzzy bunnies, and a snow storm and you get a ton of fun before the ball drops.

With a little convincing and a whole lot of creativity they find their way to a happily ever after that leaves you smiling and wishing your New Year's Eve ended the same way.

Did I mention I loved it?

    If not...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

    Sexy and sweet!

Cari Quinn executes a perfect love story in one magical New Year's night. I love that the hero and heroine have a past together that both keeps them apart and draws them together. This is a perfect read for anyone who wants their socks knocked off in something they can knock out in a short period of time. I'll be collecting Ms. Quinn's backlist for sure.

    Fun, spicy read!

No Dress Required is the latest novel from author Cari Quinn, and a preview from Entangled Publishing of their new line, Flirt. This novella is a spicy read, and a fun one. Noelle is a quirky character who, despite any personal self-doubt, has decided to finally make a play for the man of her dreams. Unfortunately for her, the fates seem to be against her as her intended evening does not go as planned. Jake is the perfect leading man for the story, embodying everything a romance hero should be,... hot, sexy, funny, and willing! Mixed in with the steaminess are two lovable characters, a good plot, and unexpected humor. Definitely a fun read!

    Very disappointed

2.99 for a 51 page story. Storyline seems interesting, but Brazen has some great stories and so does this author that are full stories.

    Awful

This is a cheesy mix of Twililight meets Harry Potter. I wish I could get my dollar spent and the time I wastes reading this crap.

    Very good

This is book one in a series. Nellie was on her way to her bestfriends house to get dressed up for a party there were she plans to suduce jake, aka her best friends brother and her friend. They grew up together and have both loved each other as friends and brother/sister kind of way. On her way there she gets carjacked. A stranger Steve seen what happened and called the cops. While Steve is comforting her, Jake was driving by on his way to see her. He freaks when he sees her on the ground and a guy comforting her. Then finds out what has happened and goes crazy protective. They fight and end up kisses/making out. Jakes sister and Ellies BFF calls and is stuck at the airport and cant make it home. She has them go to the house and make sure the party was cancelled. The spend the evening like normal with tv and food. Then they fool around and find how much they complete each other. VERY good but quick story (50 pgs). Kristy D

    Too short

I know its a novella and that is usually fine for a quick read in the evenings. But this one should be free or only .99, 50 pages. No character or storyline development just feel like youre dropped into the middle of the story and its rushed.

    Ok at best

It was ok at best...too short and not worth the dollar...had potential, but every thing seemed hurried like you skip through beginning and middle and get right to the end.

No! DOESNT DESERVE EVEN ONE STAR

This is a sick book. I was expecting a love story...not a fifty-eight page porno. DONT GET IT! Its just stretched out sex scenes.
