She Thought She Was Leaving the Rat Race Behind...

Gemologist Andie Adams is suffering a bad case of burnout in her stress-filled job in New York. So she jumps at the chance to ditch her wormy corner of the Big Apple for a home in Kentucky with her lovable but off-the-wall Aunt Weeby. After all, things should be slower paced in Kentucky--right?

Wrong. Andie reluctantly joins the Shop-Til-U-Drop Network as its newest jewelry and gemstone show host. Sparks fly between her and the know-nothing (but drop-dead gorgeous) jock they've hired as her cohost. And when Andie's job exposes her to a international investigation, the mayhem escalates during an exotic journey.

    Very cute story

I don't usually like romance books but for free I gave it a try. I was a very cute story and I enjoyed it. I was a very fast read. I would consider reading more by this author.

    Christian mystery

This book hangs together well. It has a decent amount of action, 2 crazy older Southern ladies, stunning gems, a gorgeous but obnoxiously loud conure, & a hint of romance. If you don't mind a bit of occassional Christian cheerleading (it was right at my limit) & gemological education, this book is a nice read.

    Fun

This was an enjoyable read with a main character that was feisty, feminine, and fun. Choose this book if you want to curl up with a book and have a few chuckles.

    Good read, clean fun.

The story promotes values without feeling "preachy". The romance, while pedictable was very entertaining. Stolen rubies, murder, sabotage, meddling old ladies.....what's not to like!

    Sweet and Witty

Sometimes the internal dialogue and external conversations were a bit hard to follow.

    Fair

Their was just way too much dialog especially in the first 4 chapters. Sometimes it was even hard to tell who was talking.

    Predictable

Fairly constructed mystery romance. Many mistakes and a few inconsistent facts/details.

    Charming and cute

This book was okay. Just what you need to read if you want some comedy and romance. If you are interested in gems it does give lots of information on the subject matter.
