When she is suddenly stripped of her rightful claim to the throne of Landing - by none other than her father, the king - Princess Alyssa decides to challenge the illicit move in a thousand-mile race against the heir-select, her baby brother Prince Tobias. According to the rules of the kingdom, the winner of the race will be named the rightful heir to the throne, and Alyssa embraces the opportunity as her only chance to regain what was so unfairly taken from her; despite how badly she wants it, though, it's all but assured that she'll be able to endure the months of agony, strain, and mental and physical toil that stand in-between her and her destiny...
Profound and thoroughly imaginative, Principle Destiny is an engaging read. In it, author David Cleinman weaves a fantastical narrative of good vs. evil, the ageless morality tale with which all of us are more than familiar. As such, readers will surely relate to the predicament in which Alyssa finds herself, as well as the various trials and tribulations she must endure in order to overcome the omnipresent evil surrounding her. Furthermore, Cleinman populates his tale with a host of interesting characters and subplots, none of which distract from the central action of the story, but rather serve to further enhance it, making it all the more compelling.
A solid debut from a thoughtful, insightful scribe, Principle Destiny is sure to become an instant favorite of fans of quality fantasy fiction. A must-read for the lovers of all things Tolkein, Herbert, and Card.

Overview
Alyssa is now a farm girl, who should be the ranking princess and heir to the throne of Landing. Denied her rights by her father, and banished from the palace, she has only one chance to gain her rightful place as heir to the throne and future king. Of course the protection of the crown makes this easier for Tobias than his competitors. Now, however, he has a new challenger, his beautiful and talented sister, Princess Alyssa, who has been training for this race in secret
