A number of magazines call themselves "fitness" magazines when they are actually "thinness" magazines. You can spot these by the presence of a "LOSE [X] POUNDS FAST" on the cover month after month after month, as if weight loss is the only real measure of fitness.
Runner's World used to be an excellent running magazine. Now it's just a thinness magazine that just happens to have a few articles about running alongside the fad diet of the month. Let's not even go into the daily--yes, daily--"lighter, leaner, faster you!" ad e-mails I got from them until the "unsubscribe" request finally took.
Anon because RW stans have the lovely tendency to assume anyone who criticizes the mag in any way must be fat.

I'm not sure why some people rated this magazine a one-star based on the method of delivery? That has nothing to do with the content of the magazine! This is a great magazine that has helpful and informative articles, guides, and reviews for those interested in anything that has to do with running. You'll find everything from running plans for 5k's-Marathons, Shoe reviews, fitness, nutrition, and interesting personal articles from everyday people to pro runners. I'm rating it 5-stars!

Packed with practical advice on training plans, mind tricks to motivate yourself, easy recipes, running gears, weather-specific tips, etc. Also features inspirational stories from other runners to share the little joys of running. Works great with NookColor. I have so many pages bookmarked for future reference!

I had been running for about a year when i subscribed. I learned so much from this magazine! I found out why my knee was hurting, how to fix the problem, practical nutrition and workout advice that i have shared with many grateful friends, and i really enjoy all of the inspiring stories they share! Helped me to realize that if others can overcome all of their challenges and complete marathons and half marathons then I can too!

I absolutely love this magazine! I am a novice runner, and I wanted a magazine that was great for all levels - which this one is. Whats the point otherwise? I was buying it every month, then decided to finally get a subscription and even bought one for my friend as a Christmas gift. Their training guides are wonderful, too. I just got the nook edition to check out. I REALLY wish they would link the print ones, though. If you have a print subscription, you should get the digital one for free! I recommend that they worl on that ... its the one big fall back! and being able to subscribe on the nook for the entire year at the same or a cheaper costs that a yearly subscription in print!

Not because of the magazine itself but, the magazine isn't as interactive as other magazines on other devices or systems such as iBooks. On the magazines on iBooks you can click on a title on the cover and it'll bring you to the article in the mag. Other than that this would be perfect!

Runner's World is my favorite magazine! You can keep all the fashion and girly mags. RW is the one for me. It always gets me motivated to get outside and see how far I can go. Because of RW, I ran my first half marathon.

Always been a fan of the print edition of the Runners World Magazine. Rodale and BN have done a pretty good job on the Nook version.

I ran my first 5k about a month ago and wanted to get more involved in running. Runner's World is like Men's Health for runners. Lots of useful tidbits of information written in an easy and engaging style. It has helped keep me motivated to run more and provided some useful information for a beginning runner. Highly recommend.
