    Great Novella!

I enjoyed this story and read it in one day :) It was nice to see Griffen did after leaving his best friend and headed home to the wife. I can't wait for your next fairy tale remake in this series. Thank you for this cute, romantic story.

    What free sample

I am starting to get very upset at the lack of free samples of books. It will be nice if we can read more then the title page or the table of contents.

    Nice, fast read.

I loved the book. In fact I enjoy Ms. James' books, period. The former pirate is hilarious. He doesn't see his wife for years after leaving her after their wedding, but when he finally settles down and returns home, he realizes that he actually likes her. She, on the other hand, doesn't want to stay married let alone to a pirate. Guess what, they end up together anyway and in love at that. The fun part is the journey that gets them to that level. Read and enjoy!

    Loved this!

After reading the author's previous book, THE UGLY DUCHESS, where we are introduced to Griffin Barry, I was eagerly awaiting his story. I loved how the former pirate was reunited with his wife "Poppy"...who's real name was actually Phoebe. LOL

Though the story takes place in a matter of days, the epilogue allows for a fit ending to this fairy tale. Eloisa James is an auto-buy for me!

Not much pirating, but still pretty good

I really liked this short story. It was just long enough to be fun ;) The whole fact that their married was well done because then they have an excuse to explore things they could not have in society at that time. All in all, i enjoyed it!

    more from this reviewer

    so-so

nothing exciting. rather tame. If you are just curious as to how everything kinda started for the wtih this kiss short story trilogy... you could consider this interesting. You can skip most of it and still get the gist of the story.

    It's over already

Book had potential for fun dialogue and scenarios...book started and all of a sudden it was over. Estranged husband and wife reunite, 50 pages, copulation, few more pages finished. Disappointed and glad I only paid a dollar or two
