A great story with a powerful message

Jon Gordon has the incredible gift to write life lessons in wonderful stories, which keep you intrigued while sharing the message. His latest book THE SEED delivers to the reader lessons in finding your purpose with passion. His wonderful story about Josh, the main character, and his dog Dharma searching for his purpose in life shows us ways to find our own purpose in a very engaging manner. We all search for our purpose in life, Josh finds his and his journey along the way with the cast of characters is beautifully written and an enjoyable read.
Thank you Jon, again, for sharing with us yet another wonderful book.

Amazing Book!!

I just finished reading this book and it was definitely an eye opener for me. Learning about where and when to plant your seed is a great lesson that anyone can learn from at any point in their life. I have purchased another copy to give to a friend that is struggling with her purpose in life and where to go. I am confident that if you are in the same position, this book will guide you through.

Jon's message touched me on so many levels and I know that I need to plant my seed. I encourage everyone to read this book. The message is timeless.

Fantastic!! A must read!

I love this book--this is a simple and easy ready read-you can follow the main character throughout the entire story-but yet so many parts of the story, you can see yourself in his shoes. This book came at the perfect time for me-a simple but yet, soul searching book that can get you the life you always wanted--highly recommend it!

A must read!

I completely enjoyed reading The Seed - it was entertaining. At the same time, it has a powerful message for each of us. You must read it to learn how to apply its lessons to your life and work. Jon delivers another engaging story with lively characters - I especially enjoyed reconnecting with George from The Energy Bus. Dharma is a pleasant surprise as well. I highly recommend this book and encourage you to read and apply it to your own life.

I am a huge fan of Jon Gordon's and have all of his books. I purchased The Energy Bus soon after its release to lead a discussion with a group that I supervised. Very effective. Now, I have purchased The Seed to share with another group. I am giving this book as a gift to each of the members as well as to my grandchildren, ages 12 - 19. I believe this book is a MUST for teenagers, parents, and all other persons in a leadership role. All of Jon's books are inspiring!

A most read for ALL AGES

The Seed will take you places you have never thought of going to discover or rediscover your passion and purpose in like. This is an easy read with thought provoking ideas to embrace God's plan for you.It will make a great study with it's action plan for small groups or large companies as well. Purpose in life is a universal question. Jon does a great job in his story about Josh, a young man, seeking his purpose in life. The book has very spiritual overtones and is outstanding.

Just what I needed

This amazing book has come along just as I needed a reminder about purpose in life. You will be inspired to put its lessons into action and tell others about it. Purpose and passion were lacking in my professional life for many reasons, but after reading this book, I feel like a new person, ready to tackle whatever may come.

Why am I here? What is my purpose? Is this what my life is supposed to be? Great questions! Jon Gordon's new book, The Seed, helps readers discover the answer. Through a wonderful story about a man given a two week leave of absence by his employer to, essentially, contemplate and renew his commitment to his job, we learn a method to explore our own satisfaction and find our purpose. The keys are, first, being open to discovery and, second, being open to the possibility that we may already be living our purpose but are missing the realization of, and passion for, that. The story is a simple and engaging read. If you have previously read Gordon's The Energy Bus, you will recognize the appearance of George, and the positive lessons he brings to a discussion about purpose. As with other Gordon books, there are quotable quotes about life, work, and attitude and a simple to understand process to take away and implement. The four stages of finding one's purpose are taught through the main character's life experiences, his dog, and a mysterious farmer. As Gordon repeatedly does so well in all of his writing, he takes a significant life challenge and presents it in an easy to relate to story, with important lessons presented in such a manner that the reader doesn't realize the reflection and learning that is inspired. As with his other books, there will also be a discussion guide and action plan available on the website soon. I must admit, I am a Jon Gordon fan. I own all of the books he has written, I have led a transformative, positively energizing book club at work for The Energy Bus, and I rank him among my favorite authors. I love the fable style story, especially when the story applies to live in general, not just work life. When I heard that Gordon was writing a new book, I immediately advance-ordered twelve copies for my next book club. I applied to be one of Gordon's "seed planters" and was honored to be accepted. Whether you are a fan like I am and have read all of Gordon's books, or if you've never read a Gordon book, order The Seed and read it. You won't regret a moment. I loved this book! It illustrates the 4 stages of Purpose beautifully, like a map to follow for those of us willing to take such a journey. The intriguing surprise about the farmer towards the end of the book illustrates how an unbending faith shows us the power of what is truly possible. Thank you to Jon for the reminder that the obstacles in the growth phase are normal and to never give up! Read this book...it will improve your perspectives, encourage you to consider and pursue your purpose, remind you to trust and surrender and promise you that you have everything you need to make a difference!
