Shunned No More is the first book in the A Lady Forsaken Series by Christina McKnight. This was one of those books that really makes you feel emotional for its characters, even the supporting characters. Viola has spent the last few years since the death of the twins hiding from London society and at times using an alternate name. Brock has so many regrets plus thoughts of revenge towards Viola. Both of these characters go through such a complete transformation as they move past their past. I enjoyed the friendships within the story. Brock had Harold and Viola had Ruby. Their friends know how to handle them and keep them in line. I was pretty jealous of their friendships. I would love to see Harold and Ruby get together. Maybe in a future book? There were some things that are still left open, but I think that may be on purpose since is only book one, so it leaves opportunity for conflict in upcoming books. I fell for these characters, and I'm really looking forward to future books! The ARC Shunned No More by Christina McKnight was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

This book was amazing. Not only did it captivate my attention through the entire book but it made me think of my own personal trials and errors. This book drew me in and me me feel like I was watching it unfold in real life. A must read! Very well written.

A delightful historical romance filled with tragedy, guilt, deception and mystery. A well written story that flows nicely and has remarkably detailed characters that have great interactions. Viola and Brock both ran away, each for different reasons. They must both face their past fears before they can move forward to find peace and contentment,. She is full of guilt, he is full of hatred and seeks revenge but they are attracted to one another! Can they deal with the past tragedy to find happiness in the future? Very enjoyable story. Gifted a copy for review.

Shunned No More (A Lady Forsaken, Book 1) by Christina McKnight This is the beginning of A Lady Forsaken Series with some pretty unique storylines. This one is about a young debutante (Lady Viola) who considers herself entitled and treats attracting men as a game until something deadly occurs. She is shunned by the ton and retreats to the country, supposedly, never to be seen or heard from, again. After many years, things occur that force her to attempt to reenter society. There were many strings of this story brought together for an HEA I wasn’t sure would be possible. Great read.

Good Lord this was a boring book...just like the other ones in the series...Frankly if it was not free I would not have read it. The story line was OK but did not develop. The characters were waffling most of the time and the final plot was totally unrealistic. Just because one is an author that does not give one license to liberally write words and a book without any value for the reader.

I really wanted to like this book....jumped all over the place with so many lose ends...disconnected plot at best and unimpressive characters. Flat.

The story line was pretty good but never really developed fully. The "romance" aspect seemed like it was mostly an after thought. Dialog just kept repeating itself over and over. Disappointing for a romance novel.

Christina McKnight’s “Shunned No More” is the first book in her historical romance series, A Lady Forsaken. This book starts off with a bang, using a plot element that I’ve never seen in any book. Always good when you can have something totally new to keep you interested. The characters and story line are great. You empathize with Viola, and you want to smooch with Brock. So many times, I was talking out loud to this book – No, Brock, No! My only issue is that there wasn’t a full-on sex scene, even in the epilogue…maybe it’s just me, but I want to hear that stuff (at least in the ending).
