    Murder Interrupts - Construction Delayed

    Flipping a house finds Avery and Derek flipping out over murder. *** Anyone who does home repair expects some unexpected and unpleasant surprises during remodeling. Avery and Derek, co-partners and friends with benefits, were well aware that selling a house where a murder/suicide was committed a long time ago could be a sticking point when the renovation is completed. What they didn't expect was to find a skeleton in the crawl space or a new murder next door. It is a race between completing the renovation and finding the murderer before the murderer puts an end to the renovation and them. Spackled and Spooked in the second book in the "home-renovation and design tips" mystery series by author Jennie Bentley.

    Good at the end

    I felt like this book dragged in the beginning and then picked up at the end. I would still recommend it for cozy readers despite this.

    Found this book to be slow moving

    Found this book to be very slow moving. Forced myself to finish. The end was very moving very quickly, almost as if the author was equally as bored and tried very hard to finish up. Usually very interested in reading book one,but not this time.

    A fun new series!

    This is Jennie Bentley's second book in the series, and I loved SPACKLED and SPOOKED as much as I did FATAL FIXER-UPPER. If you're into cozy mysteries -- and home improvement, too -- this writer and her series are terrific fun!

    Fun! Funny! Easy read! Entertaining!

    Both books in this series are very good. The characters are easy to like;the setting is interesting and the plot thoughtful and fun to follow. I look forward to more from this author and this series.
