    Descriptive!

This book is very descriptive and quite dense. Vitruvius explains architecture using some slightly confusing proportions and analyses, but overall explains it well. I found the book quite hard to read, given the detailed descriptions, and I often lost track, so I would have to start over. The topics covered on the whole are quite interesting, especially to those who have an interest in architecture or design, but I think one should read this book when they are ready to totally concentrate on what is being said.

I would recommend this book to those in the discipline of architecture because although it is quite complicated, it gives a good idea about how to design and where certain desgin principles evolve from.
