Overview

The Drill Sergeant's Women is the fictional story of Allen Sparks (known to all as Sparky), a Drill Sergeant in the Army. The story follows Sparky as he pursues and is pursued by several women, both married and single, including his ex-wife. Along the way, he raises his step-daughter from his failed marriage through the birds and the bees, homework assignments, piano lessons, and repairing her torn relationship with her mother. Follow Sparky as he navigates the minefield of romance while philosophizing about life's meaning with witty Sparky-isms.

E. M. Lohr, a recycled husband, is a man of many layers (can you say onion, of the spicy variety). Officially retired from writing regulations for the federal government and work in general, he indulges even more in the world of reading and writing fiction. He lives in the gorgeous countryside of West Virginia and when he is not playing on the tractor, he is practicing cooking for his lovely bride.
