Meet the Author

Standing over six feet tall, Jonathan Moeller has the piercing blue eyes of a Conan of Cimmeria, the bronze-colored hair a Visigothic warrior-king, and the stern visage of a captain of men, none of which are useful in his career as a computer repairman, alas.

He has written the "Demonsouled" trilogy of sword-and-sorcery novels, and continues to write the "Ghosts" sequence about assassin and spy Caina Amalas, the "$0.99 Beginner's Guide" series of computer books, and numerous other works.

Very short. Took like an hour to read. Seems like first five chapters of a book. Not really interesting. To short to get into the characters. So far just two main characters. A sorceress type and a swordsman. But they havent met yet. 181 pages, but only about 140 pages are the story. Im giving this one two stars, because there really was no content and the book just kinda ended without anything happening. There are 3 or 4 other books. Judging by this one, all the books together would still be a short story. Ill review the next ones and see if they are worth my time to read.

This book was good but the summary of it was a tad misleading since theactual testing took up about ten pages of the story When it wasnt telling us about the main character, the story tells us about another character who was not even mentioned in the summary Most of the story is about the character who isnt even mentioned in the summary of the book

This was an okay book. It's 69ish pgs.. I would have liked more information on the "conclave". It was a little slow. Mr. Moeller did a great job of making the reader, feel for Rachaelis , her fears and concerns about the "testing".

This first book was short but, it turned out to be a good start to the series. It will leave you wanting to read the next and the next. Perfect for those who prefer several 200 page books. This one is the first of 4 and is a little less than 200 pages long. It is certainly a cool story about a young sorceress, her plight and the ones who care to help.
