Book one of series, 149 pages of story, Eleven pages of excerpt of book 2. Book one was free, book two costs $3.99. This was a cliff hanger, very abrupt ending, hardly any resolutions. Some editing errors. Murder, attempted murder, prostitution, child abuse, very mild cursing, non descriptive sex, violence. It was not until page 79 the story started to make sense. Up until then each chapter seemed to be starting a new book. Once again, parents die as a way of writting them out of the story. No romance. At times the flow was choppy and events were unrealistic. I think book two, from the excerpt, will be much better. This book was better than I expected, if it had had more details, was a bit more realistic, better edited and not a cliff hanger, I would have rated it higher. I despise cliff hangers. The big secret was never revealed. For adults. This book is not just chick lit. Roosters would enjoy it also. AD

I got this as soon as I finished The Game as I loved that one so much but I have to say, this one is even better! Again, fast paced and thrilling and unputdownable. Desperately waiting for the next offering now!

Good book but ending was very irritating - Kat was telling FLyn why she had left town 20 years ago. She didn't tell him - just "I wanted you to meet me so I vould tell you why I left" and that is where it ended.

Sort of a made for tv movie. Too much activity packed into a short book...characters' backgrounds sketchy at best

A 150 page story of a soap opera within a soap opera within a soap opera within another soap opera. Greed, violence, attempted murder, prostitution........... Cliffhanger ending to the 'book'. 'Book' consists of 46 'chapters' that are only 2 to 4 pages long. Excerpt to next book in series also included. Next book in series not found through Barnes and Noble Nook in any combination of the authors name.

I enjoyed the book and read it in 2 sessions. I liked the characters but 5th author has not let us in on something that happened in the past that is affecting how the characters are going to interact with each other. Bad Author.

Wonderfully written plot. The characters are vivid leaving you craving more. The plot had my interest peeked by the second page. The climax of the storyline was a surprise. From start to finish it's hard to put the book down. I will definitely be reading more A.J. Carella books.
