Overview

Alisande Wyrrd needs to find a lover. She’s a three hundred year old witch who needs her energy recharged and she’s particular about who she wants it to be… she wants a mortal. She decides on Sebastian Wainwright, a powerful and practical businessman who has no time for nonsense and does not believe in magic.

Alisande lets him know that she’s a witch when they first meet and though Sebastian believes her eccentric or perhaps a bit nuts, there’s no denying her beauty or that she’s one seductive woman.

With a touch of witchery Ali weaves a magical spell that can have dire circumstances for her and Sebastian. But she believes in the power of love and she believes that this mortal man will, in the end, cast a spell of his own and unite their hearts.

    Loved the book!

Can a 300 year old witch find happiness and true love with a 35 year old mortal who thinks she's at best eccentric and maybe truly crazy? Alisande Wyrrd must take a lover in order to replenish her fading magic but instead casts a wedding spell on Sebastian Wainwright, the super serious minded, skeptical, logical head of Wainwright Security. This is a forever spell and will only work if Wainwright truly loves her and believes in her as a true witch. Will they work things out before the spell causes Sebastian to forever forget the witch and Ali is forced to live with a broken heart?

Not as good as I had hoped

I felt this book didn't move along very well - and that some of the conversation was awkward - it just didn't flow. I liked the premise of the book - that an immortal could fall in love with a human and overcome obstacles so that they could be together, but Sebastian's reactions to her being a witch seemed too awkward. Disappointing.

    Disappointed

If one were to compare this series with her highlander you would think that two completely different authors wrote the books.

    Disappointing!

Like another reader, I can't believe the same author wrote the Highlander books. No surprises, very boring in parts. I hope the rest of the series is better since I already purchased them. Ljb
