Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Barry Rachin spent several years stationed in Yokuska, Japan as a Navy medic caring for casualties during the Vietnam War. He has studied at the University of Jerusalem, lived on a kibbutz for a year and holds a degree in clinical counseling from Simmons College. A self-taught woodworker, he presently lives in Attleboro, Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters.

    The cover doesn't look like it has anything to do with Junie B. Jones. Especially the summary it doesn't have anything involving Junie B. I've read Junie B. for a long time but in 3rd grade I stopped because I think their WAY too easy for me and I'm a really good reader. I don't think this has anything involving Junie B.

    Odd, strange, bizzare, yet I couldn't put it down.

    This was one of the oddest books I've read in a long time. I kept thinking what was the point? Will it ever end? However I couldn't put it down. Still haven't figured out why. I did finish it though, which wasn't easy.

    The jury is still out.
