Aaron Larson is an attorney practicing law in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he lives with his wife and daughter.     Excellent Book, jam packed

    The wills and trusts business is loaded with "free" advice...but this book really covers the topic with PROFESSIONAL advice. As with all books in the DUMMIES series, this is a serious reference book with accurate stuff. The "kit" is a cd with templates for wills and trusts, which the reader will find very helpful. I'm a lawyer who doesn't practice in this area, and I found the book down to earth, simply written and helpful.

    Read before dying

    -Realizing that 50% of the doctors graduate in the bottom half of their class, I needed something before a major operation. Since I never planned on dying, I never bothered to write out a will in the past. Happy I bought the book to guide my wife and me through the process. Saved bucks on a atty or on-line source. In retrospect, since I have little left but bills to pass on after the recession and medical fees - it may have been superfluous but comforting.

    Get it Right the first time with Wills and Trust Kit for Dummies

    This book did exactly what I wanted. It gave me good information on amending my Revocable Trust including how to do it without needing a lawyer.

    It did not mention the Legal Zoom as a possibility but I came to the conclusion that that was an option, too.

    In reading other parts of the book on trusts in general, I discovered that my Estate Lawyer made mistakes or ommissions in my trust that have caused me grief that could have been avoided had I been able to read this "Dummies" book first.

    I would recommend reading this book first even if you plan to use an Estate Attorney instead of doing it yourself.
