    more from this reviewer

Not as good but still enjoyable

The games aren't as good as the ones in the previous volumes. Here we have battling action figures, clock solitaire with a bomber, a card battle with magical dragon cards, fighting with yo-yos, and Monster World, a tabletop rpg. They mostly all felt the same to me since they all involve battling with some kind of toy. What I liked about the previous volumes was that there was a dark element or danger to playing the games (I think I'll have to re-read those to compare since it's been such a long time). But here Dark Yugi isn't handing out harsh penalty games anymore as punishment to the wrong-doers. There are still some disturbing moments though like bombs blowing up a Ferris wheel, the loser of the dragon card game getting their soul taken away, and Yugi being hung by his Millennium Puzzle necklace. There are also some cheesy moments with the friendship theme, but it's nothing too bad.

    Yu-Gi-Oh! In it's Uncut Form!!!

I'm very happy with Viz for keeping Yu-Gi-Oh! true to Takahashi-Sensei's original design. By that I mean that even though the Yu-Gi-Oh! English Anime is nothing but a commercialized crock (like English Pokemon before it), the Manga is untouched. They even use the real names of the characters (As in JONOUCHI not 'Joey', etc.)!!!! I reccomend it to anyone interested in bizzarre yet wonderful Manga.

    PERFECT!

I hafta say, this is the best Manga I've ever read. I can keep up with the books, as 6 and 7 just came out. there's a few changes in the manga, one beeing each caracter's name (except for yugi). another few changes are the cards names and details, and the fact it's now 3,000 years instead of 5,000. but despite all the changes, it's the best I've ever read! I recomend it to anyone who likes yugioh.
