Both Zen Shorts and Zen Ties are excellent books for children. The lessons that they teach are appropriate for children of all ages. My two girls ages 2 and 5 have been telling me to 'stop carrying the lady' or 'should we give them the moon?' You'll have to read the books to get the deeper meaning of these statements. Little kids can begin to learn lessons that many adults have not yet mastered.

This book taught some valuable lessons that I think all children should be introduced to. Zen ties truly teaches (to all who read it) the value of friendship and service. This book helps adults as well as children realize that even though you might have your difference with someone, you can still learn to love them through serving them and getting to know them better. This book is full of love and treasured friendships, and anyone who needs to read uplifting words should turn to this book.
