Alice Sebold made her literary mark with her bestselling debut novel The Lovely Bones, which published in 2002 and made into a movie in 2009. That same year, she served as guest editor of the acclaimed The Best American Short Stories annual anthology. She is also the author of Lucky: A Memoir and The Almost Moon. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Sebold earned her B.A. from Syracuse University and a MFA from the University of California at Irvine.
