Jordan B. Peterson
Jordan Peterson is a psychologist, author and media commentator, known for a mix of conservative and liberal views on cultural and political issues. Peterson describes himself as a classical liberal and traditionalist as he supports universal healthcare, decriminalization of drugs, and redistribution of wealth, but is often called conservative right-wing for his views on gender identity and expression. As a former psychology assistant professor at Harvard University and a psychologist in a clinical practice, Peterson focused his interests on many different aspects of psychology including psychopharmacology, religion, personality and politics. Peterson's first book, Maps of Meaning, describes a theory examining why and how people particulate in social conflict, form beliefs and make narratives. His second book, 12 Rules for Life, focuses on self-help including confidence, happiness and family life. His third book, Beyond Order, gives twelve rules for navigating life's complexities while embracing uncertainty and chaos. His newest book, We Who Wrestle With God, uses theology and philosophy to examine the relationship between humanity and the divine.
