Mary Higgins Clark

Known as the Queen of Suspense, Mary Higgins Clark (1927-2020) was a master of the genre with dozens of bestselling mysteries and psychological thrillers over her extensive career. Many of her books, such as A Stranger Is Watching and Where Are the Children? have been made into movies, and many others have been adapted for television.

Mary Higgins Clark
Mary Higgins Clark was a #1 New York Times bestselling author of many suspense books including over 50 published novels and numerous awards. Most of her suspense books are standalone novels but she did write two series, the Alvirah and Willy series and the Under Suspicion series. Mary Higgins Clark's last book was Piece of My Heart from the Under Suspicion series, published in 2020 and co-authored with crime novelist Alafair Burke. Since Mary Higgins Clark has many standalone novels, her books do not have to be read in order (unless, of course, you read one of the series). Some of Mary Higgins Clark's best-selling books are Piece of My Heart, Kiss the Girls and Make Them Cry, You Don't Own Me, Every Breath You Take, and The Cinderella Murder.
