9 Sweet Read-A-Likes for Doc McStuffins Fans
There aren’t too many shows I can watch over and over when my 2-year-old has the remote, but Doc McStuffins is a rare exception. The Disney Junior cartoon features a family of five—a mom who is a doctor, a stay-at-home dad, a little brother, an adopted baby sister, and Doc McStuffins, an ambitious little African American girl who opens up a hospital for her toys that come to life and need help. Doc is compassionate, she is friendly and loving to all, and she is smart as a whip. This show stresses the values of friendship, of inclusion, and of helping others, and I can’t think of anything better for my kiddo to watch.
But if you’d like to score a few hours away from the TV, I get it. That’s why you also need some Doc McStuffins read-a-likes on your children’s bookshelf.
