Ahoy! 6 Action-Packed Adventure Series for Reluctant Readers

It’s June, school is letting out all across the country, and that means children are home with encouragement from teachers (and parents) to read, read read! What to do if your child is a reluctant reader? Fortunately, June also brings the release of the newest book in the Treasure Hunters series by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein. In the newest installment, Treasure Seekers: All-American Adventure,  adventure seekers Bick, Beck, Tommy and Storm are in Washington, DC. Unfortunately, there’s no mysterious treasure waiting to be found. That is,until the four make a startling discovery centering around the forgery of one of the United States most important documents. Now they’re off to prove their theory is correct before history is changed forever.

How to Train Your Dragon series, by Cressida Cowell
Before the movie, there were the books, and which are not to be missed. Hiccup may be the son of a Chief, but he’s an unlikely hero. After picking his own dragon from the Dragon Nursery, Hiccup and his fellow warriors-in-training must find a way to tame their wild (and hilariously disobedient) beasts. Each book in this series focuses on a different natural disaster: earthquake, blizzard, tornado.
