Sara Bareilles
Five-time Grammy Award−nominated singer, songwriter, and musician Sara Bareilles first captured the ears of pop music fans with her 2007 hit “Love Song.” Multiple albums followed, as well as a stint as a judge on the acapella competition program The Sing-Off and her score for the 2015 stage adaptation of the film The Waitress. With Sounds Like Me: My Life (so far) in Song, Bareilles offers a look back at her career and personal life in an eight-part memoir, with each section tied to a specific song. When we asked her to tell us about her literary influences, she named these five books and talked about what she takes from each.
