More Sizzling Romance in Anna Todd’s Nothing More

Readers of After—Todd’s Wattpad-famous novel—will already be familiar with the main character in Nothing More, Landon Gibson. After all, he’s Hardin Scott’s stepbrother and Tessa’s best friend, and he witnessed their torrid, on-again-off-again love affair from the sidelines. At the conclusion of the series, After Ever Happy, readers do know that Landon got married…but the woman’s identity has always remained a mystery.
That mystery will be solved in this new series, as Landon takes the spotlight and readers learn the story of his (and Tessa’s) NYU years: trying to move on from old wounds while avoiding getting hurt by new people.
Landon is Hardin’s foil in every way: sensitive, caring, seemingly untouched by the darkness that haunts his stepbrother. He’s the kind of guy who calls his mom his best friend, covers for his cute coworker, Posey, when she brings her autistic little sister to work, and vows to stay friends with his ex, Dakota, who dumped him just before he was about to cross the country to be with her. If a perfect man does exist, he is surely a combination of Todd’s two heroes, with Hardin’s brawn and possessiveness, and Landon’s generosity and kindness.

Despite his heartbreak, Landon moves to New York City anyway, taking a chance on a future without Dakota (and, possibly, so that he could be around just in case she changes her mind). That’s where he meets Nora, who works with Tessa—and who is everything Dakota is not. She’s brazen, and bold, and unfamiliar. They share an illicit kiss, and Landon is left feeling torn between lingering feelings for Dakota and the desire to explore the fiery connection he shares with Nora. But as Hardin’s imminent visit to New York draws nearer and nearer, Landon fears his romantic exploits are getting in the way of protecting the people he loves most.
Anna Todd’s world is laden with secrets, plot twists, and sizzling scenes rife with tension. Readers of After will be just as drawn to Landon, Posey, Dakota and Nora—all while still hungering for Hardin, whose cameos still bring the pages to life.
