Falling into a k-hole on Instagram or Pinterest typically entails scrolling through a million quotes superimposed on beachy scenes, starry skies, or lovely mountain landscapes. Often they’re lines from YA books or lyrics from a favorite song. And sometimes it can be hard to distinguish between the two—is that John Green or John Lennon? Taylor Swift or Twilight?
We’ve compiled a little of both—song lyrics and book quotes—to put your YA superfan knowledge to the test. In each pair of quotes below, one is a lyric and one is from a fave YA read. Which is which?
