Drawing on Arabic passages from Ibn Gabirol's original Fons Vitae text, and highlighting philosophical insights from his Hebrew poetry, Sarah Pessin develops a “Theology of Desire” at the heart of Ibn Gabirol's eleventh-century cosmo-ontology.
