This story is a continuation of the story from Alone in the Gulf of Mexico. It begins in Illinois but rapidly moves to Florida and eventually to the Gulf of Mexico and Cozumel. The story follows the sometimes-hectic legal battle with individuals from Homeland Security including an unplanned long-distance sail.
