Cyber Asylum

The 4th book of the Nihon Cyberpunk series is a novelette by the title of Cyber Asylum. Masuto, one of the greatest artists of the 21st century, is spending his final days in an asylum owned by the Ashita Institute. He's able to create the art he wants at the facility, but when a hacker named Ishiro offers a way out of the asylum, Masuto questions whether physical freedom is better than the freedom of creative expression.
