Inuyasha Series

In the popular manga series Inuyasha (also known as Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale), Kagome Higurashi is a modern-day high school girl who is pulled into Japan's ancient past after falling into a well in her family shrine. There, her destiny is linked to a dog-eared half demon named Inuyasha. Written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi, one of the most popular and prolific female manga creators, the books were adapted into two anime TV series, four feature films, a video game and a light novel.
