The Princess Diaries is a series of young-adult novels written by Meg Cabot. It is also the title of the first volume. The epistolary series follows teenager Mia Thermopolis as she deals with being both an average teenager and royal princess of the fictional country of Genovia. There are eleven books in the series, and Cabot has also released a spin-off series for young readers. The books were adapted into two movies starring Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews.
