The Beginning of the Gospel: A Theology of Mark

The book of Mark is unique as the first-written and shortest Gospel account and in its relationship to the Old Testament and other New Testament writers. In this book, scholar Peter Orr offers an accessible summary of the theology of Mark and why its is important for the church today. Examining key themes such as the identity of Jesus and the announcement of the kingdom, Orr shows Mark's significance as it connects Christ to the whole storyline of the Bible.
