We all expect the writers of the Bible to be totally honest, after all they are representing God Himself aren't they? Were the writers of the Gospel really the Apostles? Or was it written by authors decades after the real eye witnesses to the "life of Jesus" died? And were they just making up fanciful, legendary material? Did we find a mistake, or a white lie, or a cunningly devised fable as Peter asserts he did not follow? For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
