About the Author

Stephen Fox is an architectural historian and a Fellow of the Anchorage Foundation of Texas. He is a lecturer in architecture at Rice University and the University of Houston. Fox is the author of The Architecture of Birdsall P. Briscoe (2022), the AIA Houston Architectural Guide (2012), and The Country Houses of John F. Staub (2007). He received an Arthur Ross Award from the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art and a John F. Staub Award from the ICAA's Texas Chapter in 2011.
