Heartfelt Poetry

My mother, Madeline K. Sanderson, lost her husband and my father after forty-nine years of marriage. She was devastated, as you might imagine or know firsthand. She looked to the Lord for help and guidance. He gave her the gift of writing poetry as a catharsis of what she was feeling. She had not written poetry prior to this but started a profuse writing of poetry that produced a bounty of diverse subject material. She also put much of her poetry to music and sang in various venues locally....
