Fast-paced and fun to read. A few danglies at the end, which I hope means we'll see more of both this author and Lennox.

Interesting and real characters, and plot that moves along at great pace....what more could I ask for? Would really like more of this author and more of Lennox...gotta love someone named after Moms' china....I could have been named Spode, heaven forbid.

Certainly not a read to want you to see what happens next. It got rather tiring. Would not recommend. There were a couple of funny moments, but for me, not enough to recommend

My only comment is, "it is a light read". It certainly is not worth much more than what I paid for it (2.99)

I enjoyed this book. It was entertaining, a pretty decent mystery. It kept me guessing. I would definitely recommend it. Decent ending. Not romantic, but still pretty upbeat. Sometimes I wanted to so the v8 pop on the head and ask the main character what her deal was, but she was pretty realistic.

I felt like I was reading a long, short story. It was predictable right up to the end. It was hard to feel comfortable with the characters as they weren't well developed. Positive: it was an easy read and if it's to be a series, the main characters will probably develop as time goes on.

The main character is not likable. She commits an egregious lack of duty and professionalism while a police officer that results in her partner being killed. Far from feeling sincere remorse, she is angry she was fired and seems annoyed that the majority of her fellow officers now detest her. The plot moves quickly and keeps you guessing about who actually is responsible for a family friend's death- there are five solid suspects. This is the best part of the story, after which the end falls flat. Three stars for the central plot; I would have rated it higher if Lennox was a sympathetic character and the ending hadn't careened off a cliff.
