KiirstiAan and her mom continue planning the wedding almost entirely via email. In Book 1, they hit some stressful and frustrating moments finding and holding on to church- and reception venues. (Their reception site was flooded by rain, and it’s still up in the air whether the repairs will be done in time.) To keep them motivated during the interminable wedding planning email exchanges, KiirstiAan makes a new and unexpected request of her mother. It requires more writing of disaster accounts, only this time it involves the recounting of wedding reception disasters.

Will KiirstiAan’s mom agree to the new request? After writing so many wedding disaster accounts, will she write a new collection of reception disasters too? Or, will she say no, she’s too busy with all the final wedding planning for her own daughter? And, on top of all the general stress of planning, who could have expected this new horrendous and frightening event? Will it call at least a temporary halt to a reception, or any wedding at all?

About the Author

I have been in love with the written word since I was old enough to read. After graduating college, I taught high school until I decided I wanted to spend more time "creating". So, twenty years after beginning to teach public school, I "retired myself" and now I write full time. After living half my life on the West Coast, we moved all the way across the country, where we now live on the East Coast. It is just the two of us after our one daughter had the audacity to grow up, marry, and move away. However, that "move away" is only five miles from our home. While writing, I also own and run a website business: http://www.marriage-vow-renewal.com I love to create, whether it is designing marriage vow renewal certificates, marriage certificates, creating romance plans for married couples, or writing books. I'm blessed by the Lord to do exactly what I love. You'll find a more complete introduction (with pictures), plus my other writing endeavors, at my website: www.sheilaholmes.com.

I felt all the turmoil that KirstiAnn felt. She went through such a horrible time during hers and her Honey's engagement. And, I laughed and laughed at the mother. She was a card. Great novel.

This author does a great job on the narrative parts of the story! Really good book. I will be reading the next one in the series.

I'm a sucker for any story about weddings. It makes me remember my daughter's. But, I must say, my daughter nor I EVER could relate to the travesty of these wedding receptions. And, don't think we'd ever think how to pull them out of the disasters in this book. Wow! Just wow!

It's great when a book can be recommended to your kids. Clean, fun, at parts heart-wrenching, and always filled with love. Super book!

Got a little nervous there toward the end, but was please with the outcome. I thought KiirstiAan's reactions to the accident were very real! Good story!

This story was addicted from beginning to end. The way it was told was just beyond fun! And, the disasters this day were beyond crazy! Can't believe it was based on actual events! One of the things I loved most was how the mom tried to shield KiirstiAan, who had been through enough emotionally, from all the insanity. Simply a great book!

As a dad who has been the father of the bride, I found this story to be especially interesting.  All the details that go into planning a wedding and reception show that it is an amazing task. Then, to have the reception go so really really bad is unbelievable. Am really looking forward to reading the last book in this series. Truth is, I already have the third book. I got this book and the last one at the same time. This author really makes everything seem real. I've actually shaken my head in disbelief so many times while reading. Great story!

Wow! I liked this one even better than the first one! The pressure of finishing the planning is just brutal, but I loved the way the mom encouraged her daughter. It was at the point of the accident and hospital stuff that I became frantic for KirstiAan. I could just imagine her frustration and helplessness. I stopped all daily duties and sat and read until I finished it. I will be reading the third book the very moment it comes out!

This was a fast read and so much fun. I have gotten such a kick out of the way this mother and daughter interact with each other.  I have some questions, but I know they will be answered in the third book in this series. I was so sad when KiirstiAan stood at the foot of the hospital bed and railed out. She was in such pain. I could feel how frustrated she was. Cool how that ended up. Please hurry up and  get the third book out.  Don't leave us hanging.

I read this story really fast. It was simply fun! I just found that I really like this mother and daughter, and their senses of humor with each other. I found I was feeling so sorry for KiirstiAn in the midst of the family dealing with the accident. I could feel right along with her the frustration she was feeling at not being able to do anything, and right on the eve of her wedding. I'm really looking forward to the  third and final book in this series. I know it's the last because the author told me. (Yep, I asked. She has a blog where you can get in touch with her.) All I can say is Hurry Up!

I've really been intrigued at all the details that go into planning a wedding. There must be a million things that can go wrong from beginning to end. This book lets you experience the horrible errors that can happen on that big day, even when you've done everything right in the planning.  I just really love the spirit of this mom and daughter. But, what made it so real for me was when KiirstiAan showed that even though she was really angry about how the accident was messing up her wedding plans, she had faith that the Lord would somehow get her out of the mess. I'm really anxious to see how things are resolved at her wedding.Super book!

Took me only two days to read this one. I was engaged from the Prologue. Really distressed over the accident. I was really scared it would postpone the wedding. I need the third one in this series. I'm still nervous over its ending. Great book!  Super read!
