With her flawlessly angelic soprano, Tamia was hailed by critics as the next Whitney Houston after her inspiring single "You Put a Move on My Heart" from Quincy Jones's Q's Jook Joint earned a Grammy nomination. Despite the Canadian beauty's critical acclaim and her collaborations with Babyface and Chaka Khan, however, Tamia's self-titled debut fell flat. Her fortunes seemed poised to reverse with her aptly titled follow-up, A Nu Day, a collection of feisty, drama-filled songs. This time around, Tamia is more interested in putting brothers in check than she is in singing another sad love song -- as is evident by the Missy Elliott-orchestrated "Can't Go for That" (a revamp of the Hall & Oates classic "I Can't Go for That") and the Shep Crawford-crafted "Stranger in My House." Although Tamia is married to wholesome NBA star Grant Hill, she lives out every scorned woman's fantasy on "Go," where she snipes "I know you love to wash your car, so I left it in the lake." Even the album's standout ballad, "If I Were You," is sugarless, proving that Tamia is no longer R&B's lovesick princess. Rather, she's a whaling diva who's just not havin' it. Neo Brentacious

Ever since I've heard her song "Stranger In My House" on the radio, I've been hooked to her music wanting more. However, I do hope she does not move her music style in the same direction as a lot of other female singers that have to use rappers to make a single song. It gets old after a while. And with her voice she really doesn't need a well known rapper to rap on her cd, it just sounds trashy, but that's my personal opinion. So other than the remix of "Can't Go For That" with Snoop Dog, I was very pleased with this CD.

Tamia, girl you did a wonderful job on this album. It was great lyrics along with the sound. I really enjoyed the single ''Stranger in my House'' the most. It was right on time. I was going through the same situation when the song was released. Thank you for helping me to sort my thoughts.

Tamia comes back with her sophomore set,new look, new label.maturity steps into view with tracks ''Go'',''Stranger In My House'',''Tell Me Who'' under the realms of Dallas Austin & Shep Crawford, showing she is one to watch. The lack of focus or consistency reprises once again as it did on her debut set, missteps from producers as Missy Elliot may prevent Tamia to reach the ranks of success that Brandy,Monica,Kelly Price or Deborah Cox have earned.

This CD is a nuclear warhead !!! It explodes. I take it everywhere! Come on Tamia, give us more of the same. Not one song is a disappointment. I simply can't say enough about it...

I was a little skeptical about buying this CD. After I heard her two brillant songs on the radio, Stranger In My House and Can't Go For That, I knew there had to be more where that came from. I am pleased with this CD. She sings from her soul. Her remake of DeBarge's Love Me In A Special Way is off the hook. My other favorite song of hers is Dear John. Tamia's album is worth the 5 stars. I can't wait for her next project.

The Album is straight slamin' !! My favorite track is #5, El Debarges ''Love Me In A Special Way''. The song happens to be my personal favorite of all time. I never thought anyone could re-do ''my song'' and do it any justice, but Tamia proved wrong. I cried just like I did the 1st time I heard it when I was a Shorty! Go on Tamia! You've got great taste!

I have always been a Tamia fan. With her sassy style of singing, and her new found hip hop beats makes this cd absolutely wonderful. If your not looking for alot of hard rap but nice music with a hint of hip hop this is the cd for you. I suggest everyone go out and get it! ''Love me in a special Way'' takes you back to when El debarge sang it and every woman/girl wanted to be loved. ''Long distance Love'' to ''Can't no Man'' lets you know just how passionate of a singer she is. It's a great cd for all music lovers/collectors. So enjoy!
