About the Author

Jeremy Cook studied modern languages and literatures at Dartmouth College, the University of Dijon, Münster University, the Free University of Berlin, London University, and Harvard University in the 1960s. He received his masters' degree in French from Harvard University in 1967. He worked as a language teacher, and in various positions in educational programs for Spanish-speaking immigrants in California before going to Taiwan in 1989. He lived and worked as a language teacher in Taiwan for 25 years. He retired from Ta Hwa Technical University in 2014.
