Senior sleuths Carrie McCrite and Henry King are going to get married. Carrie is concerned what a senior bride would wear, so she enlists the help of her two friends, only they start taking over the planning. Since they suggested The Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs for the wedding, Carrie gets Henry to go check it out with her. While there, Carrie sees a ghost bride wearing red. Their caterers are shot at while talking to them. Then they find out someone has been attacking their florists. It appears another florist in town has targeted them. After there is a murder and their florists shop is bombed, Carrie and Henry decide to try to locate the culprit behind all these acts. Can they do so without putting themselves or anyone else in danger? In the meantime, Carrie has invited Henry¿s half-sister to the wedding without Henry¿s knowledge. Will he be upset if she shows up? This is the first book in this series that I¿ve read. I can assure you it won¿t be the last. I really enjoyed Carrie and Henry. They are great senior sleuths. Henry is a former cop so he has a lot of knowledge about investigations. Carrie just wants to help and gets into many situations. I also like that Carrie has good morals and isn¿t another twenty-something sleuth. She also has a good head on her shoulders which comes in handy in investigations. I can¿t wait to read more in this series. I highly recommend this book.

Finally, plucky, wonderful Carrie and her darling Henry get married!!! But first they have to solve a mystery. Carrie and Henry are such a wonderful team, and their basic decency and tendency to help others make you love them more. They are admirable characters, clever and plucky. The plot is very well developed and keeps the reader guessing until the end. If you love a mature heroine and well written cozies, you will love A Wedding to Die For. What's next, Radine? Carrie and retired police officer Henry are getting married, but the bride is discouraged because all the bridal magazines write articles about younger women. Even though she is a senior Carrie wants a fancy wedding with her wearing a beautiful white gown. Her friends Shirley and Eleanor come to the rescue designing her wedding gown and suggesting the ball room at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs for the reception.---------------- When Carrie and Henry arrive at the hotel, the ambience captures her attention and the floral design created by Ashur and Chandra Mukherjee are gorgeous. While speaking with the designers, a shot rings out, but though no one is hurt everyone is shook. Chandra and Ashur inform Carrie that a pair bigot half-sisters Jan and Sonya want the Indians to leave because they are taking business away from them the siblings harass them and use their influence to destroy the Mukherjee business. That night the soon to be newlyweds find Sonya¿s body not far from the spot where the Mukherjee¿s van was parked. A few days later the Mukherjee¿s store is bombed. Carrie, Henry, Shirley and Eleanor play detective to prove that Chandra and Ashur are innocent of any wrongdoing.------------------ A WEDDING TO DIE FOR is an exciting amateur sleuth mystery due in large part to the wedding couple who shows that seniors can find love and can be productive members of society. Their ability to find information helps them work the case as each one of the sleuthing quartet shows a keen mind that the younger generation should honor not dispose of as is the American way. The Mukherjee stand as testimony to immigrants as they believe in the American way and that most people are not racists. As always Radine Trees Nehring proves to be a wonderful storyteller.------------- Harriet Klausner
