About the Author

Margaret Strate is a graduate of the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy and later earned a doctor of pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University. When not working as a pharmacist, she has always been actively involved with school and church activities that focus on music, the arts, and faith formation. She created an "Evening Celebration of the Arts" for a school of 800 students in grades one through eight. The program highlighted the talents of children in the field of music, writing, visual arts, and culinary arts. She has worked on pastoral council committees, liturgical music, and is currently a lector, eucharistic minister, and a prayer group leader. She is also actively engaged as a member of the Diocesan Service Committee for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Residing in the suburbs of Philadelphia, she is married to husband Vince and has two children and five grandchildren. She enjoys writing, traveling, and the great outdoors.
