$2.99 for 48 pages! Then they tacked on a sample for another story...really. Have read other works by this author and if this was part of an anthology OK, but a stand alone at $2.99 - not worth it.

Another great book by Cora. I was fired up to find myself back in Chance Creek. This time we meet Brynn and Adam. The flames rage between them and around them. With some unexpected twists and turns we find ourselves rooting for the good guy, one hot firefighter, Adam. We watch Brynn fight to overcome odds to achieve her hearts desire…. It is easy to get hooked on Cora's writing and the chance to revisit dear friends from previous books. This is a 5 alarm winner.

After the Fire is one of the best novellas I've read. It has all the elements that make a great story. The main characters have a history between them that's really sweet and makes the reader root for their second chance. There's some suspense in this story as well, which I really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this short story and all of Ms. Seton's books set in Chance Creek. *ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.*

I love coming back to Chance Creek. And, I love first love, second chance type stories. That's what we have in After the Fire. I love Adam as a hero. We meet Adam and Brynn near the end of a five year "hell" for Brynn and spend most of the book peeling the onion back on what really happened years ago that forced Brynn into a loveless marriage and her sister out of town. The book also includes a wonderful villain that is very easy to hate, but in the end, our hero and heroine get their happily ever after, after the fire - the last fire!

Fantastic! This is a quick read but very worth taking some time to sit down and read it. Adam, who is a fireman(whoo!) and Brynn is married to a not so nice guy for a reason that Adam doesn't know about. Awesome read and thoroughly enjoyable.

Like all of Cora Seton's Chance Creek novels, this novella was amazing! Once I started this book I didn't want to put it down and ended up reading it within a few hours of receiving it. Like all of Cora Seton's books, this story makes you pull for the characters and root for them to make it to their happily ever after. I immediately loved these characters and was rooting for them right away! In all of Cora Seton's book the characters are well developed, as are the plots. This story was different from any I have read and I found it an interesting story and an enjoyable and fast read, as well as suspenseful, which was a nice twist. Great job on another wonderful book! My only wish is that it was a full-length novel and not a novella because I wanted more of these characters! This would be a great lead-in to a new series, The Firemen of Chance Creek and then we would get to see more of Adam and Brynn! As always, I can't wait to take another visit back to Chance Creek! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
