Air Bridge Berlin
During the Soviet Blockade of Berlin (1948-1949), Operation Vittles (Berlin Airlift) brought in over 2,326,406 tons of supplies, nearly two-thirds of which was coal, on 278,228 flights to Berlin. The Berlin Airlift was the greatest single mass airborne relief operation the world has ever known. Some supply planes even flew in chocolate and candy to the children of Berlin. While all the aircraft flew in to Tempelhof Airport, R.A.F. Gatow, and Tegel Airport heavy with supplies, very few cargo planes flew back to western Germany loaded. The few that did fly back heavy were carrying something more than empty boxes and trash. They were carrying precious cargo, very important precious cargo.
When the outbound cargo operation is discovered and the contents are switched no one is the wiser until a young Berliner recognizes the cargo is not what it seems to be. Then, with the help of a US Army Infantryman, the Berliner must do what he can to stop the plan before it is put in play. They soon enter into the race of their lives, what they do not know is that it is also race for the lives of every man, woman, and child in the city of Berlin and the Free World.
