The poet Aisha Taimur is the daughter of Ismail Pasha Taimur. Her father was close to the ruling court. She was a contemporary of even the Khedives Ismail and Tawfiq. She was born in 1840 AD in the city of Cairo. She tended to love learning to read and write.
