Tobias Churton, in this excellent biography shows us that Aleister Crowley is one of the most misunderstood spiritual revolutionary. of our time. Finally, here is a book that intelligently sifts fact from fiction, giving the reader a new perspective on a most extraordinary life. Well researched and fast paced this is excellent work.  Most highly recommend this one.

I'm fairly well read on the subject and not easily interested by yet more books on the man or his matters, but this is done very much in a style which I myself favor - a compilation of previously unpublished and decidedly rare and obscure facts taken from intimate primary sources.  This work is captivating.  It was very well put together, as I found myself arrested by and engulfed in the story as it unfolds across the pages.
