Kerry Lonsdale continues to amaze me with her character development and story telling. I really, truly loved the characters in this novel. I am not usually one who enjoys romance in my novels and this book had just the right amount of romance that was so sweet and enjoyable (girl next door kinda love). The story was original and kept me on my toes throughout the whole narrative. I really believe Kerry is an author to watch who will wow us with more great writing in the future!

Originally published on Lovey Dovey Books Kerry Lonsdale's All the Breaking Waves follows Molly Brennan as she and her daughter attempt to fight against a foretold future that ends in death. The women in Molly's family have special gifts, but to Molly it's more a curse than a blessing. Her daughter's abilities manifest in premonitions and terrifying nightmares. When Cassie sees her mother's impending death, Molly decides it's time to go back home to Pacific Grove for help. The story starts off with a bang as readers are introduced to the main characters and teased with learning about Molly's past. But once the mix of good and bad memories that linger in her childhood home are revealed the story comes to a standstill. A great deal of the plot focuses on Molly waiting to die because she doesn't know the details of Cassie's premonitions and trying to put her affairs into order. She works through her insecurities regarding her gift and rekindles a romance with her first love. All the Breaking Waves didn't take me where I expected it to. A little more fire between Molly and Owen or a little more drama in general would have taken this story to the next level. I almost wouldn't even consider this a romance because the romance was downplayed and left to the background. Regardless, readers will be met with a tale of hope and self-discovery. *ARC provided in exchange for an honest review*

All The Breaking Waves is the second book by Kerry Lonsdale and it does not disappoint. Molly is an art history teacher and makes jewelry from sea glass. All the women in Molly's family has psychic abilities. When her daughter Cassie starts having premonitions and nightmares about her classmates, Molly decides to go back home to see if Nana Mary can help Cassie control the psychic abilities. The tension builds when Molly is forced to confront the tragic accidents that killed her parents. Cassie also has a premonition of Molly's death which adds an interesting twist to the story. I think the character I like most in this book was Owen, Molly's old boyfriend. Molly finds that Owen bought his parents house next door to Nana Mary's. When they meet each other again for the first time, they still feel that electric connection. Owen attempts to find why Molly left him after her parents accidents. I found myself hoping that Owen and Molly wound reunite. This book is a fast read and once you start, you will not be able to put it down. The characters and relationships are real and believable. It is a story of secrets, forgiveness, family and love. I cannot wait for Kerry's next book! Put it on your your TBR list! I want to thank Kerry Lonsdale, Netgalley and Lake Union Publishing for an ARC of this book
