Consisted if 20 pages. This could have easily been included as the epilogue of previous book

He'd do ANYTHING for her, and it shows. I'm a big fan of Jessica Scott's books. I liked this short story, and seeing the ongoing development of the romance between Shane and Jenn. These two have the forever-kind-of-love, the truly romantic, whole-hearted, I-won't-lose-you kind that is sigh-worthy. I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Short stories are a challenge to get right...the balance between setting the stage, showing / telling enough, development of plot lines -- it can be a LOT for a writer to keep going and to resolve in so few pages. Ms. Scott did an admirable job! 13 of the 35 pages are front and back matter...leaving just 22 of short story. Truly a QUICK read.

Jessica first introduced readers to Shane Garrison and Jen St. James in Because of You. If you are a fan of Shane and Jen you are going to love this book. Even if you haven’t read Because of You, like me, you’re going to love this book. In Because of You, Sergeant First Class Shane Garrison was almost killed in Iraq. Once back stateside, Jen was his nurse. Even before Jen and Shane spent time together trying to get Shane back on his feet, they shared a memorable kiss before he left for Iraq. Spending so much time together allowed Jen and Shane to fall in love with each other. Anything for You picks up where Because of You left off. Even though I haven’t read Because of You, I have read various excerpts and I immediately fell in love with these characters. It’s no wonder they won’t let Jessica put them to rest. You can completely feel the love these two have for each other. Anything for You is a short story that will allow you to see and feel the love these two have for each other. It’s about what they’re willing to give up to make sure the other is safe. This is a story that will have you laughing. It will also leave you wanting more of Jen and Shane and their incredible love story. Source: Author Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book Reviews

Another wonderful, emotional read. This story is sort of an epilogue for Shane and Jen (Because of You). I loved reading more about these characters and the struggle they face about having a family. Once again Ms. Scott managed to wring a whole host of emotions from me. I am really loving her "Coming Home" series and can't wait to finish reading the next one (I'm in the middle of it now). Her stories feel "real" to me.

This was a nice little extension of Shane and Jen's story from the first Coming Home book. I would still like to read more of their story and I hope Scott returns to them in the future.

This was a great follow up to the book Because of You and it was very good just not long enough. It is a wonderful relationship book between a wounded couple. I hope there is another book to follow this one only longer.

This is a short story that continues the wonderful story of Shane and Jen.  Their love continues to grow, but they each live with their own fears.  Shane’s fear that Jen’s cancer will return and he will lose her.  Jen’s fear of Shane returning to war and getting injured again.  Anything for You is the story of dealing with their fear. All I can really say about this short story is that I still love Shane and Jen.  I do not think I can ever get enough of their love and their story.  The honesty that they share with each other only goes to show how strong their relationship is and how in love they are.  Jessica Scott has proven in this story that Shane and Jen are a couple we should all try to live up to.  I am very excited for the next novel in this series to be released, the story of Trent and Laura.  If you have not read any of Jessica’s work you are missing out on a great series of novel.  I get excited when I find out that she is writing something else, knowing that I will be able to get lost in another great novel.

Like the original novel, this short story is not a light and fluffy read. It deals with the very real decisions that must be faced between two people who care about each other and want to spend a long happy life together. It is about sacrifice and love and the lengths we are willing to go for our partner to ensure the HEA lasts forever. In Shane’s case this means giving up his ability to father children to protect Jen from the potential return of her cancer that pregnancy might bring. The decision making process isn’t easy, but then neither is life and this story reflects that so very well. I spent an enjoyable hour reconnecting with Jen and Shane and watching as they came to terms with their new reality. The emotional storytelling will suck you in, as will the strong characters.

~Reviewed by ANGELA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog What I love about Ms. Scott is that her tales consist of "real life" issues and awareness to them ~Under The Covers Anything For You is a sweet surprise. Ms. Scott had given her fans a chance to peak in to Shane and Jen's Happy-Ever-After(HEA). What I love about Ms. Scott is that her tales consist of "real life" issues and awareness to them. From the beginning of this series, that is exactly what she has given her readers. She has done that again in this novella. If you know Shane and Jen, you know that they are both with tragic pasts. Since finding each other and achieved their HEA, issues have come up. Unfortunately, Shane is struggling with some fears of losing Jen. I think Shane, given his past, is acting stupid but with the most valid reasons. I really don't blame him and in all honestly, I think he just acted as any man would do in real life. I don't want to reveal too much but bottom line is Shane and Jen struggles with trust and fears that are totally normal in a relationship or life in general. I am just glad that they are able to come to terms, work through their issues and giving readers another happy conclusion. *ARC Provided by Author

Reviewed by: Sarah L Book provided by: Author Review originally posted at Romancing the Book After being thoroughly impressed with Jessica Scott’s debut novel, Because of You, I did not hesitate when given the chance to revisit with Shane and Jen in the follow up Coming Home short story, Anything for You. I suppose one could attempt to read this short story as a stand-alone but the main story is such an incredible love story of two injured souls, I cannot imagine why anyone would not want to read it first. Even though this story is short, there is great character development and the emotions both of them felt poured from the pages. The entire story was brought to life in vivid detail and made the reader feel like they were part of the character’s lives watching the entire story unfold. Anything for You was a superb addition to the series and getting to read more of Shane and Jen really felt like “coming home.” flag

This novella features Jen and Shane from Because of You. I loved Jen and Shane's story, so I was very excited to see what was going on in their relationship. They are still madly in love, but they have some decisions to make for their future. Shane needs to decide if he wants to continue as an active duty soldier or if he wants to be able to come home to Jen every night. He's also thinking about family planning down the road. He's concerned about Jen's health and her ability to have children. Some of the choices he makes hurt Jen. She feels like her health will always cause concerns in their relationship, despite the fact that she's in recovery. We see them work as a couple to come up with some solutions to their issues. Jen and Shane truly love each other and in the end, their love for each other is what is important. If you are a fan of the Coming Home Series, definitely check this novella out. Anything for You read quickly and it made me so happy to see Jen and Shane again! "Anything for You" is a continuation of SFC Shane Garrison's and Jen's story which began with "Because of You". However, this could be read as a stand alone, which I have. I now will be purchasing "Because of You" and "Until There Was You" (books 1 & 2 in the Coming Home Series). We know from the synopsis that Jen is a breast cancer survivor and that Shane is also a survivor. Both do not want their past to define their future. However, they both fear the possibility of losing the other. They are at the start of the journey of their new life, filled with new possibilities and those possibilities may be the end of them. Jessica Scott writes characters that are believable and tug at your heart. Their struggle is one that many couples face and their views on a particular topic (I don't want to provide you with spoilers, so we'll leave it at that) was extremely refreshing! Also it resonated with me on a personal level! Though our struggles are not similar to those of Shane or Jen, the end result are the same. A great, easy read that makes you want to get the next book in the series, or if you're like me, get the previous to and start reading the series!!

***DON’T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ BECAUSE OF YOU. *** Jessica Scott returns to the world of Jen and Shane about a year the conclusion of their story (and Jessica’s debut novel) BECAUSE OF YOU. Shane is still working on his recovery (love that there’s no quick fix here, sad for Shane, but love the reality of the story). However, as Jen and Shane’s relationship develops Shane starts worrying about Jen becoming pregnant. They both want a family and they are both set on spending the rest of their lives together. However, Jen is a breast cancer survivor and she refuses to let the cancer win. Shane, on the other hand, fears losing her to the cancer if she becomes pregnant (as it could cause the cancer to return). You’ll enjoy this short story, seeing the ups and downs, the miscommunications and lack of communication between Shane and Jen. And again, being Jessica Scott, she just HAS to pull at your heart strings until the very end. Jessica, you owe me about a year’s worth of tissues. You should just send a pack of Kleenex out with every book you release -.- You can read about my ob – er, adoration of Jessica Scot here in a book recommendation and an interview here.

Anything for You is a follow up to Jessica Scott's debut novel, Because of You. This may be a short story but don't let the page count fool you, it is brimming with emotion. If you were searching for more of the 'Happily Ever After' of Jen and Shane's story, then you will find it here.  As you know from reading Because of You and the blurb above, Jen is a breast cancer survivor. Since meeting Jen and learning of her past illness, Shane has done a lot of research into the type of breast cancer she suffered from. And he is taking all that into account now as they plan their future, which includes talk of children. On the brink of making a decision that will alter their life all-together and may even put their relationship at risk, Shane battles with his fear of losing the one person he loves more than anything in the world. Anything for You is a beautiful and touching story that deals with some of the conflicts that might arise while in a serious relationship, and the difficulties as well as outcome of working through them. This is definitely a story that will tug at your heart strings, especially the fact that such a strong man, who has been through so much just by himself, is brought to his knees by this one woman. Jessica Scott masterfully sprinkles humor throughout the story to lighten the mood. Better read after Because of You. If you haven't picked it up yet, do so, and grab this one while you're at it! I'm very much looking forward to more from Jessica Scott's Coming Home series!

Shane Garrison and Jen St. Clair have traveled a hellacious road to get to where they are today, happy and in love.  But with redeployment looming, the only thing that really terrifies Shane is the possibility that Jen becoming pregnant will cause her cancer to come back.   I have never wanted to strangle, shake, strangle again and scream at a man as much as I wanted to with Shane.  He makes an incredibly important decision based on his fear of Jen's cancer without talking to her.  And when his decision finally comes out, instead of telling Jen how he feels and what their other options are, he shuts down and gets angry because she's hurt. But what I love about Shane and Jen is how even when they walk away from each other angry, Jen (being the stronger of the two in my opinion) manages to talk Shane through his feelings and fears to come up with a solution that will make both of them happy.  It's touching to see such a strong man, who is willing to put his life on the line for those he doesn't know, be crippled by the fear of having anything remotely to do with the love of his life being taken away from him. If you've read any of the Coming Home series, this is definitely one to pick up.
