It is slow, getting started. I have picked it up several times and have trouble "getting into it." I will keep trying for a while , but seems to take a long time to set the stage.

Too far fetched from both a geopolitical and scientific point of view.

It really was a great book. It was one of the most interesting books that I have read. It was hard to put the book down. I couldn't wait to read the next page.I wasn't delighted when it came to an end, because I wanted it to keep going. That's how engrossed I became while reading.

This book ends in a cliff hanger. I refuse to buy the next book.

I liked everything BUT the Vice Pres stuff and the female copter pilot vs the sniper. In fact, I had to stop reading after a bungling, inept copter pilot takes down a veteran Ranger sniper. DMB

I have been looking for a book that would make my heart race. THANK YOU. I could see something like this actually happening in the USA. Terrifying!

At the begining it was a bit difficult to keep up with what was happening in the book. It seemed to jump from one character's story to the next a bit suddenly. However, it was much easier to get what was happening after understanding who is who and the role they play. There were some grammatical errors, but nothing that completely throws you off. The story over all was original and had enough action and detail to pull you in and picture what is happening. One can picture the true chaos that something like this could cause. Also, great job depicting the sorrow, rage, despair, etc.. that your characters are feeling.

Overall, well written. A lot of action and the story wasn't get bogged down in scientific or technical terms.

This story is TERRIBLE... It's like one big vehicle for for fevered Right-wing "I told you so" American hero fantasies. Poorly written with characters to shallow to care about and sprinkled liberally with little political digs and zing's aimed at the American left ideology. Pathetic. I won't be wasting my time reading the rest of the series. Not worth the time or effort.

I've never stopped reading in the middle of a book. If I finish the first chapter, I finish the book. This is too involved in government protocols and it just lost me . I'm sad because I don't quit reading. It's just too much.
