Thoroughly Entertaining. ‘Arachnes Challenge’ is the fourth book in this series, and I have really enjoyed all four of them. I like Edita A. Petrick writing style, and she has a great way of drawing you into the story, where you can just lose yourself for hours. Even though this is a series, each story has been very unique, and I love Stella and Carter as characters. Maryi almost made it home when suddenly the house is blown to pieces, and she is lucky to be thrown clear from the destruction. Unfortunately her foster brothers Troy and Trim Wexler were inside the house at the time of the explosion. They had recently invented something for the gaming world, which they thought was going to make them a lot of money, and they had become very paranoid and on edge. All they needed to do was find a venture capitalist that would help them launch this new device. Mayri was out stealing a car at the time, and picking up a package for the brothers, which turned out to be this new device. Now even though she’s injured Mayri is going to need to find another Jeep Cherokee to fill the order, with the help of her friends Rosario and Darian. As others have predicted there is a bit more to the house explosion than first thought. Saunders shows Carter the video footage of the Eureka bombing where it looks like Troy Wexler blew himself up. Problem being it was only robot likeness of himself in the form of a solid hologram, from the devise him and his brother developed. Saunders believes that Maryi hid the Wexler’s devise in another pearl coloured Jeep Cherokee on its way to Spain, and since Carter and Stella are going there for a holiday, Saunders want’s Carter to find the jeep and the device. Carter is going to try to keep this assignment from Stella so it doesn’t spoil their holiday, but he needs to find the device so it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. The last thing they need is for it to fall into terrorist hands. A very good book from start to finish, and I’ll certainly be looking for more from this Author in the future.
